Top Theme Parks Apps in Brazil: Q1 2021 Trends

The first quarter of 2021 showed a mix of performances among the top theme parks apps in Brazil. Data from Sensor Tower provides a snapshot of how these apps fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and user engagement.

My Disney Experience saw a decrease in downloads from 1M at the end of December 2020 to 640K by the end of March 2021. However, revenue trends were upward, starting at $19K in the last week of December and reaching $47K by the end of March. Weekly active users followed a similar downward trend in downloads, starting at 1.85M and dropping to 1.2M.

Universal Orlando Resort did not generate revenue during this period, but downloads saw a peak of 137K in early February before falling to 83K by the end of March. Weekly active users started at 1.55M, peaked at 1.58M in early January, and ended the quarter with 1.15M.

Disneyland® also showed no significant revenue, with minor fluctuations around $1-8. Downloads had a notable increase from 84K at the end of December to a high of 211K in late March. Weekly active users were relatively stable, hovering around 1.2-1.6M throughout the quarter.

Play Disney Parks saw minimal activity with no revenue and downloads decreasing from 137K to just 3 by the end of March. Weekly active users mirrored this decline, starting at 171K and falling to 95K mid-March.

Universal Studios Hollywood™ also recorded no revenue, with downloads peaking at 57K in mid-January before dropping to 25K by the end of March. Weekly active users showed a slight decline from 1.07M to 811K.
